Photography for Everyone

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: On Tuesday afternoons
Weeks 2 & 4
Venue: Porthcawl YMCA

This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, Now at 14:00 , in the YMCA

Led by Roger Butler and Laurence Parry with, hopefully, contributions from other photographers.

Beginners and experienced photographers are all welcome - the latter group can pass on their knowledge and expertise to those who have (at the present) very little. The group covers both still and video digital photography and we welcome everyone from raw beginners through to experienced photographers.

If you own a digital camera and you are not quite sure how to use all of its features,
bring it along with you for expert help.

With smartphone or digital camera, photography is a creative and fun pursuit and we would like to encourage members to join us in a range of activities. Each meeting will comprise several elements, aiming to enable, engage and inspire. There will be a short presentation on a published topic as well as practical advice and help, still and video photography, a voluntary project, new ideas and a very informal discussion of our latest efforts.

Everyone takes photographs these days.  It’s one of the ways we identify with our environment, record history or just have fun.   It has never been easier but often we can be disappointed with our results.  Come along and see how quickly you can pick up some tips to improve your images and expand your range.  It’s not about the camera - DSLR, smartphone or box brownie - but how to achieve the best we can.

Tips and techniques, new ideas and sharing photos
